Salford Regional Football Finals

**Regional Final - Runners up**🥈⚽ after a superb day, winning 6, drawing 4 and losing 1 game in the qualifying rounds, we progressed to the semi finals. The semi was a tight, hard fought game where we won 1-0. We played Tranmere in the final, which finished 0-0 and went to penalties. Unfortunately, we got beat 6-5 on penalties BUT each player should feel very, very proud of their achievement. Well done, you superstars 🌟🌟 thank you to all that came to support us.

Year 5/6 Football Tournament Winners

Our Year 3/4 girls football team were representing Carlisle today at the County Finals and what a fantastic show they put on! The girls started the tournament very strongly, winning their first two matches against teams from Eden, scoring 5 goals (Evie 2 and Elsie 3) and conceding no goals. We then drew the next match 0-0, with the Thomlinson goalkeeper having an outstanding game! We won the next two matches 1-0, both goals coming from Elsie, we moved onto the last game against Beaconside, this game ended 0-0. The girls finished the tournament unbeaten and didn't concede any goals BUT it wasn't quite enough to lift the trophy, missing out by one single goal, on goal difference to Beaconside. This doesn't detract from the girls amazing achievement. Mr Steele and I were very proud of them, they are a credit to themselves, their families and the school. Thank you to the support received at the event 🖤💛⚽

⚽💛🖤 Our Yr 3/4 girls football team were playing in the Carlisle and district tournament this morning. The girls played 7 matches, winning 6 and drawing 1. They didn't concede a single goal, scoring over 20 in the process of winning the tournament. Absolute superstars on and off the pitch. Congratulations, we move onto the County finals 🏆🎉💛🖤⚽
