Starting School for the First Time

Thank you for considering Stanwix School for your child's first school experience. We know that choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we are always delighted to welcome prospective families to learn more about our wonderful school community.

Rooted in our values of Joy, Belonging, Ambition and Kindness, Stanwix is a place where children are encouraged to thrive, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning. If your child is due to start Reception in September, we would very much welcome you to visit us for a school tour, attend one of our Stay and Play sessions, and join us at our Open Evenings, which are usually held during October or November.

Our Stay and Play sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for children to get to know one another, experience life in our school environment and begin to feel part of the Stanwix family. Our Open Evenings offer parents and children a lovely insight into Early Years at Stanwix, with stories, songs and opportunities to meet our staff and learn more about our curriculum and approach.

Everyone is welcome. We are proud of our warm, family-friendly atmosphere and would love the opportunity to show you what makes Stanwix such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

In-Year Admissions and Changing Schools

Thank you for your interest in Stanwix School! 

 We understand that changing schools can be a significant step for both children and families, and we are committed to making the transition as smooth and positive as possible.

For in-year admissions, we offer a supportive and personalised approach, including opportunities for children to visit the school, take part in trial days and begin building relationships with their new classmates and teachers before joining us. Guided by our values of Joy, Belonging, Ambition and Kindness, we work hard to ensure that every child feels welcomed, valued and develops a genuine sense of belonging from their very first day.

We are currently full in Year 6, but places are available in other year groups. If you are considering Stanwix for your child and would like an informal conversation about the admissions process or availability, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We would be delighted to answer any questions and help you decide whether Stanwix is the right fit for your family.
