Remote Education

Remote learning may be provided when a child is unable to attend school in person but is well enough to engage with learning. This may include periods of short or long-term illness, medical appointments or treatment, recovery from an operation, mental health needs, or other exceptional circumstances that prevent attendance. In rare cases, remote learning may also be used during emergency school closures, such as severe weather or building issues. The aim is to help children remain connected to their learning, maintain progress and ease their return to school whenever possible.

Remote Learning Strategy

In addition to our online learning resources set by the school, there are a range of online activities and providers that we would recommend for families. The following links can be used to support learning at home, extend your child's interests and reinforce and consolidate the knowledge and skills they have already developed in school.

Supporting Emotional Wellbeing

Learning from home or away from school can sometimes feel different, and children may experience a range of emotions such as worry, frustration or missing their friends and routines. Alongside our remote learning resources, we have included a selection of activities and support materials designed to help children build resilience, confidence and mindfulness, enabling them to look after their wellbeing, stay positive and continue to thrive while learning outside the classroom.

Whether your child is learning in school or remotely, their wellbeing remains our priority. If you have any concerns about your child's emotional wellbeing, confidence or mental health, please get in touch. We have a range of support available and will always work closely with families to ensure children feel safe and supported.
