    • Various talks and presentations about different aspects of health and physiology, delivered by expert visitors.
  • Arts Week - an annual, whole-school celebration of art. Using a single school-wide stimulus, children spend a week producing many different types of art using a wide range of artistic skills. Activities and experiences include:
    • ‘Rocket Theatre’ dance workshops
    • Art workshops delivered by Abby Kilfedder
    • All children contribute work towards a whole-school art gallery which families and the local community come to view
  • Science Week - an annual, whole-school celebration of science and engineering. Activities and experiences include:
    • The chance to compete for National Primary Engineer awards
    • ‘Forensics day’
    • ‘Glasgow Science Centre’ visit
    • ‘Bright Sparks’ STEM workshop
    • ‘Lego’ STEM workshop
    • ‘Dens and Daisies’ sessions
    • ‘Celeld’ rocks and volcanos demonstration
    • Visit and presentation by and engineer from ‘Innovia’
  • We are proud of our extremely successful record in local, regional, county and national sports competitions, as well as our commitment to inclusivity by ensuring that all children have the opportunity to represent Stanwix School at sporting competitions and festivals.
  • Participation in Carlisle Music and Drama Festival
  • Residential visits in Key Stage 2 to Robin Wood and Barcaple.
  • The opportunity to receive music tuition for a range of instruments and perform at the Stanwix Summer Music Concert.
