Reception
A very BIG welcome from all the reception team!
In RW the class teacher is Mr Wheatley supported by Mrs Armstrong (Monday, Tuesday) and Miss Codona (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
In RB the class teacher is Miss Bibby supported by Mrs Watson.
On Wednesday afternoons, when Mr Wheatley and Miss Bibby have their planning time, Mrs Walkingshaw and Mrs Watson will teach the classes.
In reception we are committed to nurturing a lifelong love of learning and giving children a secure and confident start to their school life. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum to support the children’s development and prepare them for their next stage of education. During the year, we will be covering many exciting topics. For example, Let’s Celebrate, Ready, Steady, Grow and Mad About Minibeasts! We follow children’s interests where possible and planned topics are regularly adapted to take these into account.
Our morning generally concentrates on building Literacy and Numeracy skills whilst the afternoon sessions are dedicated to the remainder of the curriculum. Your child will take part in many indoor and outdoor play activities that will help them to learn and have fun!
