Welcome to Our Governance Section

As a single-academy trust, our governance structure ensures clear accountability, effective oversight, and a strong focus on continuous improvement and pupil outcomes.

The Board of Trustees is made up of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including education, finance, law, human resources, and the local community. The Headteacher also serves as a Trustee. Together, they provide strategic leadership and support to the school, with the shared goal of raising standards and promoting high-quality teaching and learning.

The Trust Board is supported by two key committees, each with specific areas of responsibility:

Education and Standards Committee – oversees the quality of education, including the curriculum, teaching and learning, pupil progress, and policy review.
Finance, Staffing, Estates and Audit Committee – focuses on financial management, staffing, safeguarding, health and safety, and the maintenance of the school environment.

Both committees meet regularly throughout the academic year and report formally to the full Board of Trustees. This ensures that decisions are well informed and that the Trust remains compliant, transparent, and financially sustainable.

The Members of the Trust meet annually with the Chair of Trustees and senior leaders to review the school’s audited accounts and evaluate progress against the Trust’s strategic aims.

Trustees are appointed for a four-year term, with appointments made in line with the Trust’s Articles of Association.

Through this structure, our academy ensures effective governance at every level — fostering accountability, collaboration, and a clear focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
