Get Involved

Volunteer at Stanwix School

We are passionate about involving our community in school life and welcome support from parents, carers, grandparents, local businesses, and members of our wider school community. Whether you can run an activity, listen to children read, support school events, assist with fundraising, share a particular skill or area of expertise, donate resources, or volunteer your time, your contribution can make a real difference to our children.

If you work in a trade or profession, there may be opportunities to support the school through practical support, advice, specialist knowledge, careers engagement, projects, or resources. We are also keen to hear from individuals who may be interested in supporting the strategic direction of the school through governance opportunities, including becoming a trustee.

Volunteering can also be a valuable opportunity for anyone considering a career in education and wishing to gain experience in a school environment.

We would be delighted to discuss any opportunities to get involved and are always grateful for the support of our community. If you are interested, please email the school office at office@stanwix.cumbria.sch.uk to find out more.

All volunteers will be assessed and onboarded in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. Regular volunteering may be considered regulated activity, and appropriate safeguarding checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks where required, will be undertaken. It is a criminal offence for a person barred from working with children to seek, offer, or engage in regulated activity with children.
