Wraparound Care and Clubs

At Stanwix School, we offer a range of opportunities beyond the classroom that help children develop new interests, build friendships and grow in confidence.

Our wraparound provision and before and after-school clubs provide a safe, enjoyable environment for children, while supporting families with childcare. Clubs change each term to reflect children's interests and to ensure there is something for everyone. Recent clubs have included Running Club, Carlisle United Football, Magic Club, Paper Aeroplane Club, Gardening Club, Orchestra, School Choir, Cricket, LEGO Club and Chess Club.

Residential visits are another important part of school life. Children in Year 4 attend Robinwood, while Year 6 pupils visit Barcaple. These experiences encourage teamwork, independence and resilience, whilst creating lasting memories with friends.

Our wider community also plays an important role in children's experiences. We have strong links with St Michael's Church, Stanwix Community Centre and local pre-school settings. Together, we work to support families, celebrate our community and provide opportunities for children to feel connected to the place where they live and learn.

Whether through clubs, visits, residentials or community events, we aim to provide opportunities for every child to discover new interests, develop confidence and enjoy being part of the Stanwix community.
