Sue Chappell I am married to Ian and have one daughter who is leaving Stanwix School this year and has had a wonderful time there. I have been a governor at Caldew Lea School previously and been a governor at Stanwix for 7 years and have seen school go through many changes. Becoming an Academy, staff changes and some fantastic ideas introduced. I am very proud of the school and all of its hardworking staff. I enjoy reading, travelling and socialising with friends and family. |

Elizabeth Mallinson I have been involved with Stanwix school for over 35 years as my children went to Stanwix and I have been involved in with the then PTA and now as a Governor of the school and I am very happy and proud to be part of this fine school for so long. I am a Carlisle City and Cumbria County Council Councillor for Stanwix. I was one of the founding members of Stanwix Community Centre and am still on the Board. At the moment I am a Cabinet Member for Communities, Health and Wellbeing at the City Council having been a past Mayor of Carlisle and last year I was chairman of Cumbria County Council. I believe in a strong local community and our school is the centre of this strong and local community. |

Michael Johnson I am a solicitor at a local firm and have been a Parent Governor at Stanwix School since 2016. I have two sons, the eldest has just started secondary school and the youngest still attends Stanwix. I enjoy walking in the Lakes with my family in the summer and going skiing with them in the winter. |

Shelley Hayward I am a mum of 2 girls and I run my own Learning & Development Consultancy called People Keepers working with organisations throughout Cumbria. Before that I worked in HR for Story Homes, WHSmith & Wincanton Logistics. I am also a mentor and volunteer at Carlisle Youth Zone. I am part of the Finance, Staffing and Premises committee and the Teaching and Achievement committee on the governing body for Stanwix School. |

Lee Carson I am married to Joanne and have a great son called Harry who is 5 and goes to Stanwix School. I used to be in the police for 30 years until I recently retired. I love family time, holidays and keeping fit. I am looking forward to helping in the role of a governor. |

Imogen Bibby I have worked at Stanwix School for 3 and half years after having previously taught and studied in Durham. I am currently a Reception teacher, Early Years leader and a staff governor. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my role and being part of the Stanwix School community. |

Kuldip McMullan I have been a headteacher at Stanwix School for 7 years, previous to that I was headteacher of a small school in the west. My role involves working with the governing body in deciding on the strategic direction of our school. The governors visit school on a regular basis to work alongside staff and children in the classrooms and to support me in my role as headteacher. |

Catherine Briggs I was invited to become a governor in September 2016 and was appointed chair of the Finance, Staffing and Premises Committee in September 2018. As a parent to two children at Stanwix, I really value the opportunity to give something back to the school. I enjoy being part of a team that both challenges and supports the school to enable all pupils to achieve their full potential. |

Melanie Scott My name is Mel Scott and I am delighted to have been selected as a Parent Governor for Stanwix Primary School , I have one daughter who attends Stanwix. Through the role I hope to help the school continue to provide excellence in Education and I hope to be able to represent other parents to make sure that school provides the best possible opportunities and experiences for all our children. I currently work for a large high street retailer providing a leadership role linking colleagues with our business initiatives. |
